You could say I found my path to entrepreneurship the long way around.
For years, I coached professionals who had been laid off, helping them land their next corporate role. When someone would mention wanting to start a business—like a Curves or a Subway—I’d steer them right back to their résumé. “Too risky,” I’d think. That was my mindset… until I was the one laid off.
At that point, I was recently divorced with a 5-year-old daughter, looking for the safety of a steady paycheck and benefits. But as I searched, I felt growing resistance to re-entering the corporate world. The commute, the politics, the lack of flexibility—it all felt like a step backward.
Late one night, while scrolling job boards at 2 a.m., I stumbled across a company that helped people explore franchise ownership. The more I learned, the more I realized: this wasn’t about starting from scratch. It was about stepping into a proven system—one that could give me structure and freedom. Suddenly, business ownership didn’t feel risky. It felt smart.
That journey changed everything for me. I found a business that fit my values, lifestyle, and skills—and gave me more freedom and success than I thought possible. Now, I help others do the same.
Why I’m Different
I don’t consider myself a classic entrepreneur. I’ve owned three businesses, been both a licensee and a franchisee—but I’ve never had the desire to build something from the ground up. What I do have is a deep understanding of how to transition from the corporate world into business ownership without unnecessary risk.
My clients appreciate that I’ve walked this path myself. I know the fears, the doubts, and the questions. And I know how to find the right franchise fit—not just one that looks good on paper, but one that aligns with who you are and where you want to go.
Over the past 15+ years, I’ve helped hundreds of clients navigate that leap. Whether you’re burned out in your job, craving more balance, or simply ready to build something of your own, I’m here to guide you—honestly, strategically, and with your goals at the center.
